So how does this work exactly?

It’s easy! All you have to do is either come to our storefront location at 245 W Broadway for a fairly quick turnaround. You can call us at 604.700.6049 if you have any questions but there is no need to set up an appointment. If you would rather email us you can fill out a repair request form.

How long does a mobile repair take?

Most repairs take 30-45 minutes, from start to finish. If you drop off your device at our location, we do have to juggle your repair with phone calls, walk-in clients and emails so we generally like to say we’ll have your phone back in your hands within 2 hours. Having said that, we’re usually much quicker.

Do you repair water damage?

Yes, we can repair water damage. HOWEVER, water damage is not always serviceable. Because of its unpredictable nature, we cannot guarantee any success of an attempted repair. The probability of success is essentially 50/50. Water damage has a $25 non-refundable diagnostic fee. If the device can be revived, this cost goes towards the total price of the repair. If we cannot fix your device, the deposit is kept to cover the cost of our time.

What should I do if I water damage my device?

The best thing to do when you water damage your device is to TURN IT OFF AND LET IT DRY OUT FOR 72 HOURS IN A BAG OF UNCOOKED RICE. If there is liquid inside your device and electricity surges through it, it could short out your mainboard and render your device useless. RESIST THE URGE TO TURN ON YOUR PHONE FOR 72 HOURS. If there is any more moisture inside your device, we can clean up the mess and replace any damaged components. Contact us to do the rest.

TURNING OFF YOUR DEVICE: To turn off your device, hold down the power button until you see the option to “Slide to Power Off” . If you cannot turn off your device in this manner, try holding down both the power and the home button simultaneously for 7-10 seconds. If the buttons are still functional, this should shut down your device. Eject your SIM card as well – especially if you cannot turn off your device. This will prevent people from calling you and turning your phone on.

Placing your device in a bag of uncooked rice will draw the moisture out of your device and increase the chance of a successful repair.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We are currently accepting the following payments: cash, debit cards, credit cards, Apple Pay and Android Pay. We do not accept personal cheques and we only accept business cheques from large, trusted corporations. If your company would like to pay by business cheque, please confirm with us at the time of your booking. Invoicing options are also available for large businesses.

What is your warranty policy?

All repairs with GoMobile Repair are covered for one year. The warranty that we provide on our services is voided if your device is ever water-damaged or repaired elsewhere, before or after our repair work. Please note, if you crack your screen or damage your display after our repair, this is not covered under warranty – some phones have more delicate displays than others and can be damaged without any external damage present. All new/used phone, tablet and accessory sales are final. All new/used phone and tablet sales are covered for 180 days and protect you against hardware failure and software locks, such as blacklisting or iCloud locks.
