Find Your Smartphone Model Number
In 2019, there are more smartphones in the market than ever before…and GoMobile Phone Repair is fixing more cell phones than ever before too! With all of the subtle variances in phones today, it’s not surprising that a lot of people don’t even know which exact model of phone that they have. That’s why we’ve decided to lend a hand in helping you identify your phone model. Equipped with this valuable information, you can call our cell phone repair shop with confidence if you ever find yourself with a broken glass screen. Please note, some lines of phones have different model numbers depending on where in the world they were originally purchased. As a result, it is very important that you can communicate your exact phone model to us so that we can repair your phone with the proper parts, specific for your phone model.
iPhones
No matter which Apple iPhone you own, each one has a model number that can help identify which exact version it is. There are two model numbers: A long confusing string of characters which gives you a little bit of extra information (though cumbersome to use), and a much shorter model number starting with the letter “A” followed by four numbers. The latter is a much easier number to communicate and it is the one we prefer when asking our clients to identify their iPhone model. Here ‘s how you can find it:
Go to Settings > General > Regulatory At the top of the screen, you’ll see the code.
iPhone Model Number Example: A1865
Android
There are so many different Androids in the marketplace, however, they all use the same basic operating system. So even if they all appear slightly different from device to device, the user interface should be fairly similar. This means that we can give you the same instructions across all platforms!
Go to Settings > Swipe your finger down from top to bottom to reveal the “Search” bar In Search field, type “Model”, hit Enter or the equivalent.
OR
Got to Settings > Tap the icon of the magnifying glass at the top of the Settings screen. In the Search field, type "Model" and hit Enter or the equivalent.
